CARING FOR OUR ELDERS, ENRICHING OUR COMMUNITY
OUR FOUNDATION’ S
FOCUS
Supporting Resident Enrichment and Care
Residents’ lives are enriched by a variety of programs and services funded through the Louis Brier Jewish Aged Foundation.
Vancouver Coastal Health provides basic funding for many services required in a seniors’ facility. We are fortunate to have a community of donors who recognize that life is not solely about a bed, food, and medicine.
With the support of our valued donors, the Foundation is able to fund many programs and services that enhance quality of life.
Be part of the Brier’s journey to excellence.

The Research, Innovation & Quality Improvement Fund for the Louis Brier Foundation is dedicated to advancing crucial areas like Infection Prevention and Control, pivotal in maintaining our COVID-free status throughout the pandemic.
It supports advancements in Communications, Human Resources, Quality & Risk Management, ensuring rigorous standards and enhancing Staff Training and Education for optimal resident care and safety.
All of these services are funded by the Foundation.

Jewish Traditions & Culture
Jewish traditions, culture, and spirituality are at the heart of life at Louis Brier Home & Hospital. The Louis Brier Jewish Aged Foundation helps preserve these cherished traditions, keeping residents connected to their heritage, faith, and community.
Kosher meals, supervised by Mashgichim, ensure Jewish dietary laws are respected. Holiday celebrations and familiar traditions bring residents together and enrich daily life.
The Chava and Abrasha Wosk Synagogue provides a welcoming space for Shabbat and holiday services, prayer, reflection, and community, allowing residents to maintain meaningful spiritual connections.
Rabbi Nina King-Madlem, our chaplain, provides compassionate spiritual and emotional support to residents and families through individual visits, counselling, prayer, and companionship. Spiritual care is available to everyone, regardless of religious affiliation or belief, respecting each person's unique needs and journey.
Your donations help sustain kosher food, synagogue services, chaplaincy, and Jewish celebrations, ensuring residents can continue to experience the familiar traditions and spiritual connections that enrich their lives.
